It is with great sadness that we notify you of the sad passing of David Jackson.
He was a much respected and popular member of TGC for many years.
Further details related to funeral arrangements will follow in the next days.
To many of our senior members he will be remembered as being at the heart of much of what has made Turton Golf Club what it is today.
I share below some thoughts below from Graham Wright.
"David was much more than a respected Member of the Golf Club."
He was Captain, President, Director for many years and supported several high offices for the club over many years. Along with Jim Fearnley he was very much involved in the tree planting project that the club started in 1979 carrying on when we built the new course in the early 90s and spent many hours helping with the planting of them. He was also involved in many other projects. "
He will be very sadly missed.
